John Joseph Borgo was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and brings a disciplined, service-oriented approach to his legal practice shaped by strong local roots and early leadership responsibilities as the oldest of four brothers. These experiences instilled responsibility, sound judgment, and perseverance—qualities that guide his advocacy in high-stakes, deeply personal legal matters.
Outside of law, John has long pursued demanding disciplines that reinforce focus and long-term commitment. He earned a black belt in Goju-Ryu karate and spent several years teaching as an instructor, working with both children and adults. A pianist for over two decades and a dedicated weightlifter since college, John applies the same mindset to his legal work: consistent preparation, attention to detail, and follow-through.
John graduated from Christopher Columbus Senior High School in 2017 and earned his B.A. in Political Science from Florida International University, graduating cum laude. While in college, he interned at Weissman & Dervishi, confirming his commitment to law. He later worked as a legal assistant and law clerk at the Morgan Law Group, gaining hands-on litigation experience and strengthening his research, drafting, and client-focused skills.
John earned his J.D. from St. Thomas University College of Law, graduating cum laude, and passed the Florida Bar Examination in July 2025. He developed a strong focus on family law, a practice area requiring both strategic advocacy and steady guidance. John is committed to thorough preparation, clear communication, and practical solutions, striving to provide clients with clarity, confidence, and a reliable advocate when they need it most.
